Shift Leader – Evening Shift

Reporting to: Operations Manager/Evening Shift Manager

 

General Purpose

 

As Shift Leader, you plan, organize and control production to ensure that goods are sorted, produced and packed efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard within a safe and motivated work environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Provide support to Team Leaders and staff to develop the skills and capabilities of staff

·         Proactively promote, observe and implement adherence to health, safety, quality and environmental procedures

·         Foster a respectful, inclusive continuous improvement culture

·         Plan a production schedule for the job

·         Implement and control the production schedule

·         Review and adjust the schedule where needed

·         Make adjustments to manpower plan to achieve required packing requirements

·         Determine the material resources required

·         Manage human and material resources to meet production targets

·         Make decisions about equipment use and maintenance

·         Maintain standard operating procedures for production operations

·         Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to

·         Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems

·         Determine and implement improvements to the production process

·         Prepare and maintain production reports

·         Monitor and review the performance, including lateness and absence of staff and organize Necessary interventions for improvement

·         Implement cost control programs

·         Authorise shift payroll

·         Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including QHSE, Human Resources, Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Finance

·         Monitor staff performance and attendance activities.

 

Main activities:

·         Monitor individual performance against target

·         Monitor daily attendance

·         Investigate and understand causes for staff absences.

·         Recommend solutions to resolve attendance difficulties.

·         Provide basic counselling to staff who have performance related obstacles.

·         Provide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions.

·         Provide information and assistance to staff, Team Leaders and council on human resource and work related issues.

 

·         Perform other related duties as required to get the job done.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

·         Demonstrate ability to Supervise General Operatives and Manage resources effectively

·         A Good Knowledge of the Laundry production process from Soil Intake to End of Line

·         At least 2 years experience in a leadership role required

Team Leader – Day and Evening Shift

 

JOB PURPOSE:                  To manage and coordinate operations within a designated area of one or more laundries in a manner which maximises performance of Operators and Machines, within the goals established for Quality, Health & Safety, and the Environment.

 

REPORTING TO:                Shift Leader and Operations Manager:

                                         

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:

·         To review, adjust and agree daily plans with the Shift Leader

·         To meet with Shift Leaders for the purposes of scheduling work, coordinating activities, addressing issues of Performance, as well as issues of Health & Safety and Work Environment

·         To work with the Shift Leaders to determine the Stocks of Work in Process which should be maintained within their Assigned Area(s) in order to maintain a continuous flow of work while minimising the number of changeovers of operators and machines

·         To keep a check on the actual level of Stocks in their assigned Area(s) and to ensure that that Stocks are replenished in a Timely Manner

·         To ensure that the area/areas under their control is/are maintained in a clean and orderly manner, with ‘a place for everything and everything in its place’

·         To coordinate Maintenance Interventions to deliver on the approved Maintenance Plan for his/her area, with both internal with third-party maintenance resources

·         To work with Shift Leaders in the continuous improvement of their area(s) and to coordinate with the Technical Area to ensure that improvements are incorporated into the Plant’s Quality System

·         To ensure that the resources at their disposal are used in an efficient manner and that Quality System Procedures are adhered to at all times

·         To work with the Operations Manager and Shift Leaders on the design and implementation of improvement projects and to facilitate the implementation of improvements

·         To record data as required in an accurate and timely manner and ensure that his/her reports do likewise

·         To meet with the Operations Manager and Shift Leaders on a regular basis to provide  them with status reports for their area(s), to review performance, to agree corrective actions, and to report progress with respect to actions previously agreed.

·         To take responsibility in utilising available manpower and resources in the achievement of agreed production/processing targets

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

·         Minimum of 2 years Experience in Team Leader Role

·         Demonstrated ability to Supervise General Operatives and Manage resources effectively

·         A Good Knowledge of the manufacturing production process from Intake to End of Line

·         Flexibility in terms of moving between designated Team Leader areas and stepping down to General Operative Level when required to do so

Accountant

Fixed Term Contract (with a view to permanency)

 

Celtic Linen is one of the leading linen service providers in Ireland supplying both healthcare and hospitality.

 

We are currently seeking to recruit an Accountant based in Wexford.  This role is for a fixed term from 01.08.2021 until 31.12.2021.  The successful candidate, together with the Finance Team, will be responsible for developing current procedures to bring the company forward in a post Covid environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:-

          Monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts. Reporting suite for both internal and external stakeholders

          Preparation of annual financial accounts whilst preparing and maintaining a detailed audit file, managing year end audit process

          Ensure accuracy of all statutory returns including bi-monthly vat returns and payroll returns to revenue

          Preparation of detailed annual budgets in conjunction with management and monitor performance against these budgets, reforecasting of each quarter as appropriate

          Together with the Finance Team, manage accounts payable, receivable, credit control and wages functions

          Work with Finance Team to ensure a robust control environment is in place

Essential Skills

          Have a clear understanding of how the role brings value to the business

          Must be capable of understanding the drivers of performance within the business and it related impact on finance

          This role provides a valuable resource to all areas of the business and therefore must have proven ability to work with and build relationships with a diverse management team

          Detail focused with excellent technical skills

          Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

          Excellent IT skills including excel and data analytics

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

          Qualified accountant, with at least three years post qualification experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
