Donald joined Celtic Linen in January 2016 following 15 years as Operations Manager, General Manager and Operations Director with Fishers Services, a leading textile rental and laundry company in the UK. With an Honours Degree in Production Engineering and Manufacturing Systems, Donald has industrial experience in furniture manufacturing and medical devices. Driven to improve customer service, he places the voice of the customer at the heart of our culture.

Joanne Somers

CFO

Our CFO since 2016, Joanne is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant with over 20 successful years in the linen rental industry. She joined us Initially as Management Accountant, where she achieved success in the automation of systems and standardisation of processes. In 2000 she took over as Head of Finance, and in 2007 she became Commercial & Financial Manager. In her new role as CFO, Joanne is responsible for managing the company’s Financial Strategy. With a passion to succeed, Joanne drives financial and operational development and excellence for both the company and customers.

Sharon Rea

QHSE Manager

Sharon is responsible for Quality, RABC, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems. She joined us in 2004 as Customer Support Co-ordinator, and in 2010 took over the Quality Department, where she achieved certification to EN 10465 RABC for two plants. Sharon has a Diploma in Management and Employee Relations and Certificate in Marketing from NCI, and studied part-time for a Diploma in Quality Management and a Certificate in HACCP principles while working at Celtic Linen.

Martin Murphy

Hospitality Sales Manager

Since joining Celtic Linen 37 years ago as a sales executive Martin have gained valuable experience and contacts in both laundry and hospitality business. In 1992 he was promoted to group sales manager and since the move worked as plant manager, procurement of textiles, customer service and stock management. Today with his contacts and experience he is a vital cog in a future of the company. Martins focus today is to maintain and grow the hospitality industry while using his vast knowledge and experience working with his colleagues to benefit the company. Martins passion is meeting and exceeding customers experience.

Hugo Malone

Healthcare Commercial Manager

Hugo is responsible for customer service in Celtic and works closely with a dedicated service team across all sectors of the business. He also has specific responsibility for sales and service for the Healthcare sector. Hugo initially joined Celtic Linen in 1987 as Marketing Assistant, then worked as manager of an associate company, Hawke Industries. Hugo holds a BSC Management from Trinity College, a Diploma in Advanced Marketing from College of Marketing and Design, and a certified Diploma Accounting CDipAF.

David focuses on commercial activities for the business and pursues new business opportunities in hotels, hostels, guesthouses, restaurants, leisure clubs, spas… and more! Having spent over twenty-five years in the linen rental industry, his extensive experience includes supervision of production, managing and analysing stock control, client and service management, sales and commercial management. David’s professional expertise is focused on sales development, building strong relationships, and improving the operating model to best serve our customers. With a BBS degree, David continued his studies to earn a Masters Degree in Business while attending to a busy sales career.

Having started initially as a Receptionist in our Cork depot, Karen moved on to Stock Controller for a number of years and, following that, served several years as Sales & Service Executive in the workwear area. After taking a career break, she has now returned to work as Account Manager. Karen has a Bachelor in Business Studies (Services Marketing) from Carlow Institute of Technology.

Eddie joined the team in April 2018. Having spent a number of years in management roles within the hospitality sector, Eddie has spent the last 14 years in the Sales Industry, managing accounts, building relationships, growing and developing businesses. He brings with him a wealth of experience in liaising with people, excellent problem solving techniques, and strong communication and interpersonal skills which he hopes to implement in his new role within the company. Eddie's goal is always to ensure the customer is provided with exceptional quality and is happy with the service being provided to them.
