The laundry was constructed on a “straight through” principal. The soiled hospital linen enters the plant at one end and the clean linen exits at the other end, separated by a permanent barrier wall. This unique system ensures that all clean and soiled linen is completely separated. The laundry service is designed to comply with the latest infection control standards and regulations.
In order to prevent unnecessary staff contact, soiled linen is transferred by an overhead bag system to the appropriate machine, soiled linen is sent for immediate processing while foul and infected linen is sent for a prewash process.
All washers have sophisticated monitoring systems which are fully validated to the RABC standard preventing the linen from progressing unless the correct temperature and wash time has been achieved.
